To coincide with the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, the University of Evansville athletics department has partnered with Deaconess to support three cancer affiliated charities in the Evansville community. Deaconess will provide donations during each of the Purple Aces' men's basketball games during the event that will take place November 15 - 17.
At each of the three Coaches vs. Cancer Classic games, Deaconess will provide a designated charity with $1.00 foeach ticket scanned at the Ford Center. Donations will be provided to the American Cancer Society for Thursday's game vs. Buffalo, TOUCH Inc. for Friday's game vs. Yale and Gilda's Club Evansville for Saturday's game with Western Illinois.
In addition to the donations that will be made to the three charities, Deaconess will be providing t-shirts to 500 fans for each of the three Coaches vs. Cancer Classic games. Donations for the t-shirts will be accepted with all proceeds going to the charities.
