(Indianapolis) -- A state panel looking at changes to Indiana's teacher licensing standards heard from hundreds of people opposed to the idea during a hearing yesterday. The Indiana Professional Standards Board met yesterday to hear from more than 250 people at the Indiana State Library as the group considers changes to licensing teachers. State Superintendent for Public Instruction Tony Bennett is supporting changes that he says would make it easier for qualified people to teach.
