eBay Blocks Anti-Abortion Auction
(Wichita, KS) -- The online auction site eBay has blocked efforts by anti-abortion activists to auction memorabilia to support the legal defense of a man charged with killing an abortion doctor.
About ten items were removed from the site Monday.
The sales were promoted by supporters of Scott Roeder, who is charged with the fatal shooting of Doctor George Tiller at his Wichita church.
The website says the items violated various policies including bans on offensive material.
