Reported by: Web Producer Friday, Nov 6, 2009 @10:11am CST It was four years ago today (Friday 11/6) a killer tornado ripped through parts of the tri-state. The F-3 tornado packed winds of 200 miles an hour and hit the tri-state in the middle of the night. It first touched down in Smith Mills, Kentucky then crossed the river and smashed into Ellis Park before moving toward Warrick County. But most of the death and destruction was done at the Eastbrook Mobile Home Park in eastern Vanderburgh County where 20 people were killed. Five more died in Warrick County before the 40 mile path of destruction ended. The tornado finally lifted just across the Spencer County line. A special memorial service was held at the park at Eastbrook Mobile Home Park Friday night.
