Wednesday, Nov 18, 2009 @11:15am CST The man at the center of an unusual case in Pike County now faces federal charges.
U.S. Attorneys have filed charges of possession of unregistered machine guns and a destructive device against Kerry Thomas. Authorities say they found 3 machine guns and the material to make a bomb in Thomas's Pike County home. They have been digging at the home near Arthur for several weeks. They are not only looking for explosives, but also human remains. Crews found bones on the property more than a week ago, but deputies are still waiting to see if the bones are human or animal. They believe Thomas may have something to do with the 1994 disappearance of Patrick King. |
