Energy Efficient Lights For Star On Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
(New York, NY) -- The annual tree lighting ceremony at Rockefeller Center is getting a little greener this year.
The Swarovski Crystal star adorning the 76-foot-tall Norway spruce is both brighter and more energy efficient.
Seven-hundred-20 LED lights are being used this year, expending as much power as a single 100-watt light bulb.
Swarovski vice president Nadja Swarovski says the 77th annual tree lighting at Rockefeller Center will sparkle brighter than ever.
The lighting ceremony is December 2nd.
