Reported by: Josh Breslow Thursday, Nov 19, 2009 @03:55pm CST Evansville Police have identified a man they would like to talk to in connection with the Monday evening shooting death of Roosevelt Morris on Washington Avenue.
The person is Terrell Williams. Investigators say they believe Roosevelt was at the house on Washington to buy drugs. Sometime during the drug deal a fight broke out and three shots were fired. Morris was hit once. He later died at the hospital. Police also say they believe a robbery was supposed to occur at the home. Morris's wife and mother say the name, Terrell Williams, sounds familiar, but they do not know exactly who he is. "I'm glad to know that they are on top of it and that they do have someone of interest already, because they need to get him," said Morris's wife, Samaria Morris. "My husband ain't never coming back, and I just can't deal with the fact of him running around living his life like he wants to do and not pay for what he did to my husband." "Turn yourself in, because you took something from me that I will never have in my life again," said Morris's mother, Alice Davis. Officers are not calling Williams a "suspect," but they say they do want to question him. Anybody who knows where Williams might be is asked to call police. |
