Habitat for Humanity of Evansville was recently certified a green builder and received an energy star rating by the National Association of Home Builders. Habitat has been incorporating many additional features in its homes to enhance efficiency, such as programmable thermostats and higher efficiency appliances. An inspector and energy star rater with Home Check Inspection Services verified that Habitat followed these standards at a home recently built on Oregon Street. The home also received a five-star energy rating.
