Matt Madigan joined the Fox 7 weather team in June 2008 as a morning and midday on-air meteorologist. He is a product of the east coast after growing up near Harrisburg, PA and later attending Penn State University in State College, PA. While working toward his degree in meteorology, Matt worked at the headquarters of AccuWeather for a year as a broadcaster.

Matt discovered his love for weather while he was in the third grade and after having lived through the heart of the Great Blizzard of ’93. “I remember snow drifts towering ten feet in the air and trying to wade through the snowpack that came up above my waist.” Thunderstorms also provided intrigue into the science of weather.

In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time on the local golf courses, reading, watching and playing sports, and watching after his two kittens, Archimedes and Galilea.
