From: Indiana State Police Posey County Woman Arrested for Obtaining Prescriptions by Fraud Evansville – This morning at approximately 10:00, Indiana State Police arrested Christine A. Gries, 39, of Poseyville, after an investigation revealed she allegedly used stolen blank prescriptions to illegally obtain a controlled substance. Troopers arrested Gries after she turned herself in at the Indiana State Police post. In January, Indiana State Police Detective Vinnie Gieselman initiated an investigation after receiving information that Gries, a former employee of an Evansville physician, allegedly stole an undetermined amount of his blank signed prescriptions. Further investigation revealed that in November of 2008, Gries allegedly used two of the blank signed prescription forms and wrote her own prescriptions for Phentermine Hydrochloride, which is a controlled dietary aid. She had the prescriptions filled at two different Evansville pharmacies. On two separate occasions in January, Gries attempted to fill prescriptions for the same controlled substance, but was declined after the pharmacist became suspicious. Gries was taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail where she is being held on a $200 cash bond. ARRESTED AND CHARGES: • Christine A. Gries, 39, 10093 Koch Drive, Poseyville, IN 1.
