State Police Arrest Leavenworth Man for Rape

Posey County - Monday morning, April 20, at approximately 9:30 a.m., Indiana State Police Detective Brian Bailey arrested Marvin D. Parr, 52, of Leavenworth, for allegedly raping a 25-year-old Harrison County woman back in March. Parr was arrested after he turned himself in at the Posey County Jail. He his currently being held on a $200,000 cash bond.
Preliminary investigation revealed that on March 22, the 25-year-old female was visiting a residence located on Winery Road in Posey County. While outside the residence, Parr allegedly made sexual advances toward the female. After she refused his advances, he allegedly grabbed her by the arms and shoulders and slammed her into a nearby pickup truck. Parr then allegedly dragged her to the house where he started to choke her. Another male intervened and separated the two. Parr left in his car while the female went inside the house and fell asleep. Later that night, she was awakened when Parr was having sexual intercourse with her. She was able to shove Parr off and ran to a nearby bathroom where she used her cell phone and left a message for a friend to pick her up. Before her friend arrived, she was kicked out of the residence. A passing motorist picked her up and then dropped her off at the Country Cupboard gas station, located at S.R. 66 and Stierly Road, where she called police.
