State Police Stepping Up Enforcement Of Move Over Law (Indianapolis) -- Indiana State Police announced that the State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division is working with troopers in the Indianapolis district to step up enforcement of the Move Over Law. The Move Over Law requires motorists to slow down to a safe speed or move over when passing an emergency vehicle that is present on the roadway. Patrols will be conducted in coordination with the Hoosier Helper vans and the INDOT maintenance crews in the district, which includes Boone, Johnson, Marion and Shelby counties. Police advise motorists to be aware of their surroundings and move over or slow down when approaching emergency vehicles. (Copyright 2008 by Newsroom Solutions) RNS-06-23-08 0851CDT
