Office Pools May Stress You Out

Study: Office Pools May Stress You Out (Tempe, AZ) -- Office pools not only take the fun out of sporting events and television shows, they can actually increase the stress in your life. Thats the finding of a new study by a pair of professors at the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. It shows office pools cause uncertainty and discomfort for employees, whether they win or lose. As part of the study, published in the "Journal of Consumer Research," undergraduate students asked to predict the outcome of a game show after just the first segment enjoyed the program less than those who just watched the show.
