A pregnant Owensboro woman was charged and booked after allegedly hitting a police cruiser at a stoplight. Kentucky State Police say 19 year old Ashley Laws drove into the back of a marked police car at the intersection of Carter and McFarland in Owensboro. They say she left the scene of a previous accident earlier in the day. She also failed all field sobriety tests and had difficulty standing. Laws is 6 months pregnant. Laws is now charged with DUI, possession of marijuana, leaving an accident, and assault. Once at the Daviess County Jail, she allegedly attacked a female deputy, causing minor injuries.
