Prosecutor Cracking Down on Misdemeanors

Its a big change for small crimes. The Vanderburgh County Prosecutor is cracking down on misdemeanors. Attorneys in the prosecutor’s office say theyve been too easy on offenders in the past. Prosecutors will now ask for higher bonds, try to stop continuances and recommend jail time for people with multiple arrests. One of the biggest problem areas has been people driving with suspended licenses. And, the county prosecutor says hes not going to stand for it anymore. Prosecutor Stan Levco says his office will also be giving littering a closer look.
