Three Killed In Greenwood Construction Accident
(Greenwood) -- Three people are dead following a construction accident in Greenwood.
Emergency crews were called to the Dayton Freight site after 4 p.m. on Thursday.
A section of wall that is part of a new building going up on the property might have fallen on the workers.
High winds and rain passed through the area around the time of the accident, but authorities say it is too early to tell if the weather was a factor.
Two others who survived the accident were transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
The names of the five people have not been released.
The site is off of I-65 in Greenwood.
The Indiana Occupational Health and Safety Administration is among the agencies investigating the cause of the accident.
