breaking news
Kentucky's Green River Correctional Facility has literally gone to the dogs.
The prison has developed an innovative program to rehabilitate criminals...and canines.
It's called "Death Row Dogs". It pairs about 40 inmates with dogs around the clock for two months.
The inmates become trainers, and the dogs are eventually adopted out to families.
Inmate William Appleby says, "It taught me responsibility and unconditional love. Something I didn't know anything about before I came to prison."
This was the program's 15th class. The next group of dogs arrives at the prison on Thursday.
