Since Friday three empty homes have gone up in flames. And a fourth was caught on fire less than a month ago. The latest fire was Thursday morning on East Tennessee. The first happened friday and another happened Tuesday. Investigators arent connecting them yet but the fires do have a lot in common. A West Illinois home Friday, a home in the 500 block of Evans Tuesday and the latest - this West Tennessee house. All abandoned. All set on fire. Investigators say its too early to connect the three but allt he fires are suspicisous. "It was vacant didnt have any electricty and there wasnt anybody living there," says Dan Grimm with the Evansville fire department. Firefighters say a lot factors play a roll in all the fires like the warm spring weather "When its really could out nobody wants to get out crime rates actually go down in bigger cities." But they can be prevented. "Be a good neighbor know whats going on around your house. If you see something suspicious call 9-1-1". Neighbors near the West Illinois home say theyve seen homeless people living there like it was their own. It wasnt too long ago people lived in the West Tennesee home. They actually came out today to see what was left of the house. The landlord says its been vacant for about two years. He says he spent a lot of money cleaning it up and put it on the market just two months ago. Firefighters say its also up to the landlords to pay attention too. "Secure your property. Make it difficult for people to do this." Typically the city deals with one fire a month - not three in less than a week so they dont want to add anymore. Police say they have interviewed one suspect in the west illinois fire but arent releasing any information yet.
