Executive Inn Concerns in Owensboro

Some people in Owensboro are concerned about the future of a city landmark.
The Public Life Foundation of Owensboro held a public forum Monday night about the Executive Inn Rivermont.
The hotel is a downtown staple and its facing foreclosure.
Owners havent paid an $11 million back loan.
Its also at the center of a $50 million riverfront renovation.
Members of the foundation and some community members are worried about what will happen to that project if the conference center has to close.
The Executive Inn officials were invited to the forum, but did not attend.
They had a sold out hotel to manage, thanks to this weekends Barbeque Festival.
In a statement, the managers say the hotel is still attracting tourism to the city.
Theyre asking for support during this time of uncertainty.
