When police arrived, they found 44-year old Sara Watkins shot multiple times. Her husband, 48-year old Carl Watkins was still in the home, and was arrested. Officers were also able to obtain the weapon used. Sara Watkins died a hour and a half later at Muhlenberg County Community Hospital. Carl Watkins was taken Muhlenberg County Detention Center. He now faces a murder charge. He was originally scheduled to appear in court on Monday-- but his initial hearing has been delayed until Monday May 21st.
