A new state office has been created to lead Indianas efforts to repair and rebuild following the series of storms that struck much of the Hoosier state in late May and early June.
Governor Mitch Daniels announced Monday afternoon Andy Miller, the current Director of the State Department of Agriculture, will also manage this new "Office of Disaster Recovery".
Deadlines for individual and public assistance are approaching and Daniels said the state doesnt want anyone to miss out on assistance.
Residents in 37 Indiana counties are eligible for individual aid through FEMA.
This office is set to remain open indefinitely.
