Will reducing the speed limit save you money at the pump? Thats what one senator is asking congress to look into. Republican Senator John Warner of Virgina believes it might one of the answers to high gas prices. He believes that if drivers consume less gas it could reduce the high prices. AAA Representatives agree that going 55 mph instead of 75 you can improve your fuel economy by about one percent. Senator Warner has not settled on 55 as the target speed. But most drivers we spoke with were against it saying it should be the drivers choice to slow down if they want to say gas.
