September 11th, 2001 changed the world forever. Days after the attack, U.S. and Allied forces went to war against the Taliban in Afghanistan. The U.S. felt that the Taliban was harboring those responsible for the attacks on the World Trade Center. Kabul is the capital of Afghanistan and although U.S. and Afghan forces control the capital, there are still Taliban strongholds in the south. FOX 7s Jason Claspell got the unique opportunity to go to Afghanistan with an Evansville humanitarian organization called Uncharted International. The first part of his three-part series introduces us to an Afghan general who tells us about life under the Taliban and the importance of U.S. troops in his country.
