Family Sues LOreal After Woman Dies While Coloring Her Hair (Chicago, IL) -- The family of a Chicago woman is suing LOreal USA claiming the chemicals in the companys hair dye killed her. While Cornelia Morris was coloring her hair with Soft Sheens Dark and Lovely in July of 2006, she started suffering from shortness of breath. She later died at Jackson Park Hospital. According to the lawsuit, seeking about 500-thousand dollars in damages, the autopsy determined Morris died from "an anaphylactic reaction to hair dye." A spokeswoman for LOreal says the company adheres to rigorous safety standards, so customers can use their products with complete confidence.
