Meat Recall Affects 15 States. A meat company in Michigan is recalling more than 129-thousand pounds of beef products in 15 states because of possible E-coli contamination. The U.S. Department of Agriculture says the meat products were made by Davis Creek Meats & Seafood for Gordon Food Service stores. The beef products were shipped to retailers in Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, and Kentucky as well as Michigan, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin. The recalled items include boxes of tenderized steaks and ground beef. The boxes are labeled "Est. 1947A."
