Evansville Rape Arrest

Police say Arthur Lee Gates went to a home in the 5-hundred block of covert early Tuesday morning -- and asked if he could use the phone. When the woman inside refused Gates he pushed his way inside, showed a gun, hit the woman in the face several times, then raped her. The victim says after Gates raped her, he passed out, so she ran outside and flagged down an officer. The officer says he found Gates passed out naked in the bedroom but when gates woke up he struggled with police before being arrested.
