The football coach at Castle High School will be suspended for the first half of the first game of the season.
Coach Doug Hurt is accused of hitting a student during an offseason practice in April.
The players family filed a report with the Warrick County Sheriff, but the Sheriffs department and the county prosecutor are not filing charges.
Superintendent Bob Schneider says the school did its own investigation.
Schneider says what they found is not something the school will support.
A former player and member of the coaching staff says the school told parents of players about the half game suspension as punishment for the incident.
