Vanderburgh county animal control officers rescued hundreds of birds after the woman taking care of them became ill.
Animal control says they removed more than 150 birds from an Evansville home last week. Parrots, cockatiels, and love birds were just some of the breeds rescued.
Superintendent Tom Hayden says some of the birds died after being recovered. Hayden says the majority of the birds have been adopted out.
