Gibson County sheriff deputies arrest a man on charges he wasnt taking care of his horses. One was even found dead on the property. Richard Stallings was arrested today and charged with one count of animal cruelty, although up to an additional 30 charges are pending. The charge came when one horse was found with an extreme case of gangrene in the leg. The Gibson County Sheriffs Department and horse rescue members have been to the property on several occasions in the past year, and each time have to take away horses. Today, dozens more will be removed, but not all of them. Its because of the number of horses, that any have been allowed to remain at all. Indiana Horse Rescue says they are in desperate need of help from the public. Anyone wanting to assist in the effort, or donate food and supplies can contact Indiana Horse Rescue or the Gibson County sheriffs office.
