44 year old Kevin Egan was taken to the Vanderburgh County jail this morning.
Police are asking him about a blaze the empty home on West Eichel Avenue.
Investigators say they were called out to the home around 7:30 this morning.
It took them an hour to get it under control.
There were reports people may have been inside the home but after searching firefigthers say that was not the case.
They say it was a hard blaze to battle due to the warm weather conditions this morning.
This is another of a string of vacant house fires in the past month.
Fire investigators say they are not ruling out this could be connected to the other fires.
