Rescuers say additional charges are pending against the Gibson County man accused of horse abuse.
Representatives from Indiana Horse Rescue and Gibson County Animal Services met with the County Prosecutor on Wednesday.
They say Richard Stallings will face more charges, he already faces one count of animal cruelty.
The Owensville man was arrested Saturday after about 100 horses were found neglected and malnourished on his property.
Founder of Indiana Horse Rescue, Anthony Caldwell says, "Anytime that you have an animal involved and you have people, you want to make sure due process is followed and you also want to make sure the animals welfare is intact."
Fifteen horses were taken over the weekend, rescuers say in spite of their efforts, one of those animals has died.
