Some victims left homeless after the November sixth tornado are finally about too see new homes built.
Construction on Operation Home Again is expected to begin this weekend. Its a Habitat for Humanity community only for tornado victims.
Thursday night they held thank you service for the community. We come as one, took place at Trinity United Methodist Church.
The serivce included everything from a ensemble from the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra as well as an interpretive dance by Autumn Marx whose mother died in the tornado.
The 27 families getting houses also donated one item to be put in a time capsule. They say the year and half wait for a home is finally becoming a reality. Beginning Saturday they will start work on six houses that will be complete in two weeks - including Thompsons.
Habitat plans to build 27 houses overall.
