Its becoming more and more common.....ATV accidents that end in death or very serious injuries. The popularity of ATVs is at all time high but unfortunately so are the number of serious accidents. There have been five ATV deaths in surrounding counties since the beginning of the year. The youngest victim being a seven year old boy in Spencer county. There have also been two accidents leaving victims with life threating injuries. Indiana Conservation officer Keirsten Forby investigates these cases and says training is key. He says people have to realize that if youre going to buy these bikes then you need to attend one of the safety trainings. That alone he says is going to minimize a lot of your problems. He also thinks ATV training should be state mandated because it would be a huge step in decreasing accidents.
