Warrick County officials are taking action against the proposed Cash Creek power plant facility planned for Henderson County.
Cash creek is being promoted as a state-of-the-art coal to synthetic gas power plant.
This isnt the first time weve heard opposition to that proposal, but on Wednesday night both Warrick County Commissioners and the Newburgh Town Council took steps to try and ensure the plant never becomes a reality.
The officials agreed to contact the Indiana Attorney General, as well as file formal comments with the Kentucky Division of Air Quality - saying they are completely against the proposed plant.
Plans for Cash Creek havent been finalized yet. Theres a public hearing on the draft permit scheduled for June 29th at 6:30 at the Henderson County Courthouse, located at 20 N. Main Street.
