It will be a little easier to get around downtown Evansville this evening.
3rd Avenue has been closed since last Tuesdays fire that destroyed several old buildings in the downtown area.
The road remained closed so crews could demolish what was left of the building.
The road has re-opened but it will close again tuesday morning so workers can finish the clean up.
It is not yet known when the street will permanently re-open.
