The people who live in Westbrook mobile home park are raising questions about the handling of recent fires. They say McCutchanville firefighters should have attacked the fires Sunday and one three weeks ago.... earlier using fire hydrants. Both homes sustained substantial damage and residents want to know why. On the other side are firefighters who say it is all a misunderstanding about their rules and the use of equipment. McCutchanville Captain Brian Spaetti says they carry enough water on their trucks to knock out a mobile home fire without using fire hydrants. He also says they never go into a fire until they have two firefighters on the scene. Captain Spaetti says there was no one in the homes at the time of the fires. Thats a factor they also take into consideration we deciding whether to go into the home.
