Vanderburgh County Commission President Cheryl Musgrave touched on jobs, construction, and healthcare during her state of the county speech this afternoon. Musgrave says the number of jobs in the county grew this year by more than one hundred while more than four hundred jobs were retained. Successful health care initiatives like the smoking ordinance and the county prescription discount were part of the address. She also highlighted some new construction projects. This includes the green river road widening, cross point extension and the university parkway. On the downside are that more residents are moving out of the city. Its a steady population decline for a number of years.
