It is Freedom Festival week in Evansville and the festival committee is busy putting last minute touches on this years event. The unlimited hydroplanes will be one of the main attractions at this years celebration. Boats are expected in the water Friday with races on Saturday and Sunday. But the festival is quick to point out it has plenty of other events including several concerts -- a beer garden -- an appearance from the Canadian Snowbirds -- and the fireworks display. The final word from the committee -- buy a button. Buttons are still on sale for 10 dollars -- they increase to 15 dollars Thursday. For a complete list of activities... In the air and on the water...Go to www.evansvillefreedomfestival.org ... And watch for our exclusive live newscasts from the top deck of casino Aztar beginning Wednesday at 6, 6:30 and 9.
