When crossing the bridge, you better drive the speed limit. There will be an increased police presence along the bridges and corridor next week due to an expected increase in traffic volume for the July 4th holiday weekend. During that time police will also be assisting traffic entering and leaving Ellis Park for the start of the live racing season. As a reminder, traffic is restricted to 35 miles per hour in the two mile long bridge work zone between Henderson and Evansville. Motorists cited for speeding in the work zone are subject to double fines, that means about a $300 fine. Remember Indianas seatbelt law went into effect today. Drivers and all passengers in cars, trucks and SUVs must now buckle up.
