An apparent confession. Thats what led police to an arrest in the murder of 19-year old Rosemary Baker. 56 year old Ralph Belt was in Hopkins County court today facing charges of murder, rape, and kidnapping nearly eight months after Baker went missing. But before his arrest belt lived in a half-way house run by a Deacon at a local church. The same deacon had put missing posters of Rosemary up when she disappeared. He did not want to appear on camera. But he did want to tell the story. He told the Deacon that he had consensual sex with Rosemary but killed her because he thought she might say he raped her. Belt will appear in court again Thursday. Funeral arrangements for Rosemary Baker will take place Friday at Beshears funeral home in Dawson Springs. Those wishing contribute to the cost of the funeral can contact the Fifth Third bank in Dawson Springs.
