Driver Takes Life After Police Pursuit

An afternoon police chase ends with one man dead. The chase began in evansville, then crossed into warrick county. Police say it started around 3:00 when officers noticed a man driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Evansviile police tried to stop him, but he wouldnt pull over. Police then noticed he was holding a gun to his head. The pursuit crossed from Vanderburgh into Warrick County and ended at the intersection of SR62 and McCool Road. Police say the driver came to a stop in front of Cypress Paptist Church...When they approached his car, officers saw he had shot and killed himself. Police have identified the driver as Eric Givens
