BUT AS FOX 7S LATONYA STEPHENS TELLS US THE HELP OF VOLUNTEERS AND HER POSITIVE ATTITUDE IS PROVIDING THE BEST MEDICINE. IT WAS JUST AFTER SEVEN OCLOCK ON JUNE 21ST WHEN POLICE PULLED TARA WALTERS FROM HER MANGLED VEHICLE. WALTERS CAR CRASH INTO A TREE ON POLLACK AVE. LEFT HER WITH AN INJURED HEAD, BROKEN SHOULDER, AND ONLY ONE LEG. SHE HAS NO MEMORY OF THE CRASH BUT AS SHE SITS IN HER WHEELCHAIR SHE ONLY THINKS ABOUT HER GOOD FORTUNE. WALTERS WAS STUDYING TO BE AN ELECTRICIAN BEFORE THE ACCIDENT, AND ITS THE ELECTRICAL UNION MEMBERS THAT HAVE COME TO HER AID WHILE SHE REMAINS AT ST.MARYS. NOW, THAT GROUP IS WORKING ON HER HOME IN EASTBROOK MOBILEHOME PARK. WORKING TO FINISH LANDSCAPING AND A WHEELCHAIR RAMP IN TIME FOR HER HOMECOMING TUESDAY. AND THATS THE KIND OF SUPPORT WALTERS SAYS HELPS HER MAKE IT THROUGH. DWELLING ON THE POSITIVE AND FORGETTING ABOUT ANY NEGATIVES. WALTERS SAYS SHES LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING BACK TO SCHOOL TO FINISH HER 2ND YEAR IN HER FIVE YEAR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
