Kid Clog Recall

By: Web Producer
Updated: July 17, 2007
Toddler Clog Shoes (Washington, DC) -- Another 270-thousand pairs of character-themed clog shoes for toddlers are being recalled by Payless ShoeSource Inc. Plastic rivets that attach a strap to the shoe can detach, posing a possible choking hazard for young children. In early May, Payless had issued the first recall notice for nearly 700-thousand pairs of this particular shoe for toddlers. It features characters like Spongebob Squarepants and Hello Kitty. The clog shoe was sold at Payless ShoeSource stores nationwide and also online through Payless.com from January 2006 through June of this year. Consumers are advised to take the shoes away from young children immediately and return them to the store where they were purchased for a refund or exchange.
