Federal Warning For Botulism Contamination In Chili Sauce
(Washington, DC) -- The FDA is warning consumers of a possible botulism contamination in various brands of hot dog chili sauce.
An Indiana couple and two Texas children were hospitalized after eating the alleged tainted products.
The warning states that ten-ounce cans of Castleberry's, Austex and Kroger Hot Dog Chili Sauce shouldn't be consumed.
The products have since been recalled and should be discarded immediately.
Botulism is a potentially fatal illness that includes symptoms of dizziness, double vision, difficulty breathing and abdominal pain.
