Martin Co. Death Investigation

An alleged case of domestic abuse turns into a death investigation for the Martin County, Indiana Sheriffs Department.
Deputies responded to a home on Country Farm Road on reports that 36-year old Sonya Davis had been beaten by her husband, 34-year old Lawrence "Gibby" Davis Jr.
Sonya Davis was found injured, and was transported to the hospital.
Her husband could not be found.
A couple of hours later, Gibby Davis was found hanging by his belt on White River Bridge.
He died of asphyxiation.
The sheriffs department is still investigating the case.
