Evansville Vanderburgh animal control has a unique case on their hands--a lost owner.
The black pit bull mix was picked up on August 6th in the area of Kratzville and Mill road.
The dog does have a microchip but animal control wasnt able to get any information off of it.
They traced the chip back to a morale welfare recreation fund which is generally military so someone in the military may have purchased it.
Evansville animal control contacted our local army recruiting office and fort campbell, but neither were able to help.
If you recognize the chip number 145721572A -- contact Animal Control.
