Update 8/29:
Three more members of the suspected drug gang "D block" are in Owensboro police custody.
Last week, a police and DEA sweep netted 20 suspects in a massive crack cocaine sting called "Operation Block Buster".
Damien Thruston, Montae Goodnight and John Leak remained at large after the bust, but all three have surrendered.
But there still is another suspect, James Howard, wanted by authorities.
Original Story from 8/23:
20 suspected gang members are behind bars tonight after a massive drug sting in Owensboro. City police called the year long investigation "Operation Blockbuster." Teaming up with state and federal law enforcement, they spent the last 12 months infiltrating the alleged crack dealing ring. Early this morning, officers and federal agents stormed houses across the city and county. The raid netted several members of the gang known as 'D Block'. Some of those arrested are facing state drug possession and dealing charges. Others have been charged with federal crimes. DEA Agents say their work in Owensboro still is not done. Four suspects are still at large. Police say the other 20 were rounded up in just 3 hours.
