A clergy sex abuse victim will visit an Evansville cathedral Sunday.
FOX 7 received word Friday afternoon that a member of a group called SNAP, the survivors network of those abused by preists, will hand out pamplets on Sunday outside St. Benedict cathedral on Lincoln avenue.
SNAP leader David Clohessy feels bishop Gerald Gettelfinger should have been more prompt, forthcoming and apologetic when he disclosed that priest othmar schroeder had molested children.
The bishop told members of Schroeders Jasper parish about the incidents during a recent Sunday mass.
Schroeder died nearly 20-years ago.
Clohessy says his group will hand out flyers asking the diocese to disclose more information, to apologize for a slow response and to urge other victims to come forward.
Officials at the Evansville diocese could not be reached for comment.
