New Business Means New Jobs in Union County

Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher welcomed a new business to Union County Monday. "Homecare Products" will take over a spec building in the Morganfield Industrial Park. The project will bring 135 new jobs and an investment of more than $3 million. Governor Fletcher said it is especially gratifying since many labor intensive manufacturers tend to locate in other nations where costs are lower. "Homecare Products" designs and manufactures portable wheelchair ramps and modular wheelchair ramps for residential use. The company will get $1.6 million in tax benefits.
