Mayoral Debate Challenge

The Republican candidate for Mayor wants Evansville to know hes ready to debate Jonathan Weinzapfel.
Monday, David Nixon dropped off a release at FOX 7 listing dates hes available for a debate with incumbent Democrat Weinzapfel.
Recently, the Mayor declined a request to debate city council candidate Andrew Smith.
However, Weinzapfel said he would debate candidates for Mayor.
A spokesperson for the Mayors office says they have not yet been approached by the Nixon camp, but they are open to a debate.
